I am a music teacher who has over 4 years of teaching experience. I graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and have experience teaching a range of instruments. I teach in secondary schools and 90% of my pupils sitting the National and Adv/Higher SQA exams received Grade A or Higher during the last academic year. My main instrument is the piano and I am also skilled in composing classical music. I have been chosen by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to represent the Bachelors of Education(Music) course recently and there will be an upcoming spotlight of a Blog post and Film which is expected to be released early next year 2022.

Well, I am very passionate about music, it has been part of my life for a very long time. I am teaching music to my students in a classroom, so why not to do it online? I have experience in online teaching for 7 years, up to now, I have been teaching Music theory with practical usage of instruments (guitar, bass, piano and percussions) online too. I have my own curriculum, so I can adjust it according to the students' needs. My music experience is a very rich one. I used to play in many bands over the time, I have a professional career as a guitar player in Theatres orchestra. I have opened concerts for some famous music stars. I am a patient and hardworking, responsible teacher. I will do my best in every class, because teacher responsibility is not just to teach, teacher power lies in attitude and ground principles which all well educated teachers know how to use to better stand for the student. I come from a classical background but most of my real world experience is in rock and pop. I attended Goldsmiths University London where I specialised in jazz performance, music tech and musical composition and I have toured extensively with both originals bands and function bands including performing on a cruise around the U.K. I spent the last 3 years working with Just Play music school in London where I lead ensembles and one on one lessons both in person and online. I’m a committed, patient and enthusiastic educator and I’ve had the pleasure of working with children and adults from a diverse range of abilities and backgrounds.

I have been playing piano since the age of five, studying voice since the age of seven and guitar since I was eleven. I have worked in a variety of group and private settings. I have studied Jazz, Classical and Contemporary techniques on all three of my main instruments and focuses on wellness integration while teaching.

I studied at the Elder conservatorium of music where I completed a Bachelor of music performance with a jazz guitar major, I have also taught violin for a number of years up to AMEB grade 3. My students have consistently competed in eisteddfods and have usually placed. I am currently studying a master of teaching through Curtin University and have worked within the department for education in South Australia as an instrumental music teacher, I have my working with children check in QLD (blue card) and South Australia, mandatory reporting and an authority to teach instrumental music form the teacher registration board. I teach both jazz and classical because both offer the student different things in terms of technique, improvisation, aural ability and application of music theory and analysis. I teach AMEB theory, AMEB classical guitar and AMEB violin and incorporate curriculum from Mel Bay; Turner and White and the Australian Curriculum and Assessment Reporting Authority (ACARA) when helping students with school based music learning. I am a trained opera singer, studying under Chris Booth-Jones from the Royal Academy of Music, and have performed in many musicals and stage productions, taking the lead roles in; Oliver, Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Grease and Oklahoma. I have taught at many schools and colleges, starting my own courses and leading string groups, orchestras, choirs, theory groups and bands. When I'm not teaching or gigging I work with musicians from all over the world as a freelance recording artist/session musician/composer/arranger/producer and technician.
