I have been a professional guitarist/musician for over a decade working in the UK and Asia. My first job as a guitarist was as a member of the entertainment department at the Alnwick Gardens. Since then I have taught private lessons and in school, been part of pit orchestras for theatre production, organised/hosted live music events, busked, worked as a music therapist for autistic children, as a session musician, hosted a show on Lionheart Radio, toured all over South East Asia and I was part of the house band for an internationally award winning taproom called 7 Bridges Brewing Company. I teach all ages, abilities and genres/styles but I specialise in fingerstyle guitar. I am very versatile though and have played guitar and often also sang in African high life ensembles, blues, rock, reggae and ska bands, a gypsy jazz quartet, as a duo with a classical pianist and flamenco guitarist and as a solo artist with a loop pedal.

I have over 12 years of experience of performing as an artist working as a composer and reciting performances from the Classical approach from my main instruments Piano Guitar. As-well-as the classical approach my abilities and styles are quite vast. I have knowledge in more musical styles/genres such as contemporary, modern music as the top charts today! Rock Pop Blues Jazz Punk & many more (PLEASE ASK) I write and create my own teaching programmes which are designed to develop and structure the student properly to where he/she wants to be. I always ask my students what they want first, what they want out of these lessons, and their end goal for me to get an understanding coherently and properly as the teacher to work with either him/her. All my lessons entail Music Theory and basic musical rudiments this is why i don't offer music Theory as the student already learns it through my structured lessons.

I taught myself music from scratch. It was a rough process. But it made me firmly believe anyone can learn music. If you can count to 8, you can play music on nearly any instrument. Musicians make music seem more complicated than it actually is. I love teaching music theory like a language and I think it's important to start jamming as soon as possible. Before I was a music teacher, I was a behavioral therapist working with non vocal clients with autism. I do my best to condense lessons into a series of behaviors that build over time and teach a strong understanding of music theory.

Classical Guitar, Clarinet
Do you or your child want to start the clarinet or is your goal to reach the next level? Are you looking to reduce stage fright or to pass conservatorium graduation? Are you searching for the best clarinet teaching to actually get you to your goals? Then you need to have a good teacher. How can you differentiate the good teacher from the vast majority of ordinary teachers?Firstly, it is a big myth that famous musicians are by default good teachers. Most famous musicians did not consciously study the process of learning and the many different ways of acquiring musical results because they were very gifted students and guided to success by their own teachers. Acquiring a successful teaching methodology requires a lot of dedication, time and patience, which many famous musicians would not have due to their intensive practice, concert and recording schedule. Ordinary teachers plan their teaching for the next few months based on the student’s or the parent’s goals. The good teacher is the student’s mentor and coach, establishes for himself a long-term vision and larger goals and takes the expectations and learning step by step. The good teacher is also confident to disagree with the student or parent if it would hinder the student’s progress and reach the larger goal. The vast majority of teachers are able to correctly assess a student’s weaker areas to be worked on overall, but only the good teacher judges the abilities and character of the student right and prioritizes what is needed right now in order to motivate and reach best progress. Most teachers have established a small repertoire of teaching material, from which they source all exercises for all their students. The good teacher perpetually strives to find the exactly right material for each student from a vast collection of knowledge and books, adding more flexibility and diversity to his collection all the time. The good teacher is also not afraid of sharing the well kept secrets from the old masters to help his students prosper. Average teachers plan their teaching around the fixed contracted time with the student. The good teacher does not measure teaching success with lesson duration and dedicates extra time if it helps the student reach the goal of the lesson. Many of my students successfully gained a scholarship for private schools in Australia, reached their ABRSM exams in Ireland or passed their conservatorium auditions. The success of my lessons is based on 25 years of experience as professional concert musician and the wisdom passed down from my teachers Charles Neidich, Karl Leister, Walter Boeykens, Philippe Cuper, Willem van der Vuurst, Leo van Tool, Einar Johannesson, Ronald van Spaendonck, Ralph Manno, Marco Thomas, Anatoly Moratof and Harmen de Boer.

My experience lies in teaching comprehensive music lessons to both young and mature students alike while cultivating an environment that stimulates increasing and ongoing music appreciation. Along with my teaching accomplishments, I have also held prestigious professional positions, as a lecturer with the Stuttgart Music Academy (Germany), Filder Music School. Having been an active musician myself helps me to be very practical with my students in terms of music application. Furthermore, I am very flexible and creative with any given music material also in-cooperating music technology software and computer skills with both teaching and music production. In addition to that, writing and teaching lessons, assigning and grading homework, as well as monitoring student's progress. Most especially learning an instrument should be fun. You will have great success with your playing. My competency also lies in the fact that I have produced several works already published. I teach Guitar & Piano to the beginner and intermediate student. You will learn Songs, Notes (optional) Theory, Rhythm, Technique and much more. Furthermore, Music composition, Arranging, Orchestration and Music Production are great tools to use in terms of practical application. Sounding original and not mechanical right from the start and knowing what makes music really work is crucial to an overall successful experience. In addition, I am very flexible in that the student is encouraged to bring music pieces they are working on apart from lessons. Lastly the joy it brings when you see yourself making progress and achieving your goals
