Hi my name is Jolynn and I have been performing and teaching in various countries for the past 8 years. I am the Gold Award Recipient at the Asia International Piano Academy Festival in 2016 (AIPAF) and I have studied piano performance for over 20 years, training under a graduate professor from the prestigious Juilliard School of Music. I am also a TV/Film, Gaming and Commercial Composer. Having worked in the music & entertainment industry for over 8 years as an award-winning pianist, multi-genre nominated film score composer (Best Original Film Music) & music producer, I am here to equip you with the right techniques you need when playing the piano, that will help you overcome the most challenging passages, and your technical struggles.

My educational background is from the University of Baguio in Music. I have 21 years of experience in piano and 17 years in violin. I have been teaching music lessons since I was 12 years old. I teach technique, music theory, composition, performance, rhythm, and sight reading. I have an eclectic approach to teaching my students which allows me to teach in person or online. The age range of my current students is 10 years old to 16 years old. I'm happy to teach students of all ages.

I’ve been on an incredible musical journey, and I’d like to teach you a bit about what I’ve learnt. From teaching dozens of private students per week as a Vocal and Piano Teacher in Johannesburg and prestigious boys school St Stithians, to touring with international artists like The Tenors (Canada) and Babylon Circus (France), I have been blessed with amazing opportunities to hone my skills and showcase my talents. Not only have I performed at a huge range of events and festivals in across the world (including South Africa, Seychelles and the Middle East), but I was also nominated for Rock Album of the Year at the 2009 South African Music Awards as part of the Voodoo Child band, which I founded and directed. Over the years I’ve also gained experience in musical direction, concept development, stage management, event planning, and studio and audio recording — like every musician knows, at some stage in your career you’re going to have to do a bit of everything! Whether I'm playing soul, rock, jazz, or classical; from original music, jazz standards to covers, I am known for bringing a contagious energy and enthusiasm to every performance — something I want to teach you to do. Classical Piano

I grew up near Florence where I obtained a Clarinet diploma at the Conservatorio Cherubini. At the same time, I was studying piano and composition although because of a serious family bereavement my studying path was interrupted. It was only after many years that I began again to seriously study piano and achieved a Piano diploma at the ABRSM of the UK. I've given piano lessons for many years, primarily at home and recently in a local private school although the pay rate was so low that I had to cease because of costs. Anytime I had a good pupil I encouraged him or her to take ABRSM exams as a way to improve their abilities and have fun making something good for themselves. Any pupil I presented at the ABRSM exams passed with very high scores, sometimes near the maximum. When I'm teaching, I always try to understand the need and skills of the pupil to deliver him/her the most useful information the pupil is able to learn. If the pupil is not very skilled or smart I teach only basic information that he/she can understand but if the pupil is very skilled and smart I like very much entering in difficult technical details that I'm usually very good to explain in very simple terms.

Hey there! I'm Paulina. I hold Master of Arts Degree in Music Education and Qualified Teacher Status obtained in England. I studied piano and accordion performance, improvisation, composition and music theory. Since then I have been traveling the world playing music and teaching it to students from many different countries and cultures, including the UK, USA, Poland, China, Vietnam, Thailand and Caribbean Islands. Being a traveling educator taught me to be very sensitive to diverse needs of each individual and to provide student-centered education that supports unique student’s goals and aspirations. Currently I accept students from the age of 7 to learn with me the art of playing piano and/or accordion - both very unique and mesmerizing instruments! I will teach you how to play beautiful french and italian music that stands at the core of accordion and piano's glory, but also darker and more complex music of the Balkans or South America (like tango), that will turn heads of anyone witnessing you play. As an academically trained musician I always include classical repertoire in my course as I believe any well-rounded musician should be familiar with and able to perform classical pieces. Like all other instruments, piano and accordion have evolved greatly in recent years. I will show you how you can use these instruments to play modern music including jazz and contemporary, but also popular styles like rock or electronic music. After years of education and gained experience I use a mixture of different methods, creating and adjusting my accordion course to each student's specific goals and aspirations. With my educational background in classical piano I teach solid playing technique based on Frederick Chopin's teaching method. Chopin was a passionate teacher himself, who developed an array of tools for learners to play their instrument in a relaxed, healthy and brilliant manner. To support the development of the natural creative senses of my students I also use the method of E.J. Dalcroze who developed a beautiful approach to learning music through experience, improvisation and active creation and E.Gordon - whose teaching is based on audiation, “sound before sight” learning, natural understanding of the language of music. To ensure healthy habits and prevent any playing-related injuries you will learn about Alexander technique - gentle, natural movement and relaxation should be at the core of each musician’s technical skills. The course also includes strong theory and ear training to build high level musicianship skills in my students, that will enable them to communicate with other musicians clearly and effectively as well as play not only solo but with bands, duets and orchestras, where listening and accurately responding to other instruments and musicians is the basis of musical communication. I have successfully led many of my students in their professional journey preparing them for internationally recognised exams, like Trinity and ABRSM, so if one of your goals is to gain these official qualifications we will include that in the course. Being an experienced performer, having played not only classical repertoire and concerts, but also being part of jazz, progressive rock and folk bands I adjust the course to support achieving your goals in the quickest and most effective way, without wasting your time on things that are not in your area of focus at the moment. I strongly believe that learning musical language should be approached as learning any language - by practicing speaking it as soon and as much as possible. That's why, when you learn with me, we go straight to the instrument, playing from the first moment. By using small and consistent steps you will comfortably speak the language of music, in time being able to create longer and longer phrases and sentences, making your own music and to read existing music in a more efficient and fluent manner. Most of all my teaching style is about the relationship between me and each individual student, so really it's ever changing and flexible. Just like our goals, dreams and abilities.

Experienced choir conductor, professor of music theory and history with extensive experience working with students of all ages (from 8 to 68 years old), mentor of school rock bands, vocal groups, solo singers, and solo instrumentalists (guitar, bass guitar, and keyboards ). I'm Michael Gijan graduated at Cebu Eastern College Bachelor of Information Technology. I was a former member of the band called "Inhuman Resurrection" and my current band today is "Storya" Designated at Phillipines. I’ve been working as a freelance music teacher at Rockschool (RSL) for 3 years. What really got me into the field is to pursue my career as a music teacher and become a good musician when I was working at Cebu Music Learning Center. I teach many student as a result I am very in demand when it comes to teaching at young students. That's why I've been promoted as a Head Faculty to my current work at Music Lab on Cebu City, Phillipines. I also passed my performance and diploma examination at The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM). Sharing my knowledge about music is my forte, I'm may not a perfect musician but I'm perfect at teaching of what I'm good at. I have been an active educator and musician for over two decades. My diverse interests and skills stem from a deep fascination with creative communication across various disciplines and media. My journey into piano performance began while I was studying Architecture, prompting me to transition into pursuing a degree in Music performance. During my undergraduate years, I showcased my talents extensively as a soloist, chamber musician, and accompanist, participating in concerts, broadcasts, and theater productions throughout South Africa. Alongside collaborating with classical singers, I also undertook advanced vocal training, establishing a robust foundation in vocal technique. My passion for piano performance led me to the UK, where I honed my skills through touring, performing, and engaging in collaborative performance projects. Upon returning to South Africa, I pursued a Master's degree and pivoted towards education. I began lecturing at Wits and eventually discovered my most fulfilling work in the realm of interdisciplinary Arts and performance education. I had the privilege of contributing to institutions such as The Ridge School, St Mary’s Waverley, and Redhill School.

Ailish is a former student of the Music School of Meath where she began kindergarten classes at the age of 3 and subsequently moved on to learn the piano. She completed all RIAM grade exams on the piano and received a number of High Achiever Awards over the years. Ailish has also completed a senior certificate exam on piano and was awarded a gold medal from the RIAM. She has been awarded numerous prizes at competitions including Feis Ceoil, Sligo Music Festival, Navan Choral Festival, Midlands Feis Ceoil and Newpark Music Festival. Ailish received an entrance scholarship to study the clarinet at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. She has received a scholarship every year since, having been awarded the highest mark in her faculty in her annual assessments. She was selected to perform at the Showcase faculty concert in the RIAM on many occasions. Ailish has completed all RIAM grades on clarinet. She won the junior clarinet solo competition in the Feis Ceoil. She has participated in many competitions and was the overall winner of woodwind and brass at Newpark music festival. Ailish has a keen interest in group performing and is a member of the RIAM Senior Wind Ensemble. She also attended the Summer Youth Orchestra Programme with the Dublin Youth Orchestra. Ailish has a clarinet performance diploma (ALCM) from the London college of music. She also has a piano teaching diploma from the Royal Irish Academy of music.She is keen to pass on her passion and love for music to all of her students.
