I am a passion young musician with not only formal but informal education and experience too. I started my music career in primary school learning the piano and continued on to study music at the Nelson Mandela University. I added vocals to my formal training at university to enhance my vocal ability classically. I was part of a choir since primary school through to university joung the international acclaimed Nelson Mandela University Choir as a tenor. I have freelanced since 2016 as a Vocalist for backing and lead for live concerts formal and informal settings, as a tutor to beginner piano and vocals. After I graduate I started my own company and teach privately and perform occasionally.

I have been teaching music for 21 years and during the Covid lockdowns I have discovered the world of online teaching and love it so much! I have many beginner pupils as well as pupils working towards their grade eight + exams and many adult pupils.

I teach cello, piano, music theory and composition to any age, for any style of music. I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have over 15 years’ experience teaching both privately and in London schools through institutions such as the Guildhall School of Music. I have prepared many students for ABRSM and Trinity graded exams up to Grade 8+, foundation and undergraduate programmes in cello, piano and music theory. I have also taught beginner violin and GCSE and AS/A Level Music. I am classically trained at Masters level in cello and piano, theory and composition, having studied at the University of Athens and Goldsmiths College, University of London. I have also received external training from ABRSM London Conferences, the Learning Trust, NSPCC and others. Alongside teaching, I am a performer and composer, specialising in experimental, improvisational and collaborative/multi-media projects. I also play traditional Greek, Turkish and Middle Eastern music. My teaching often involves a degree of improvisation and music theory, as well as repertoire, as I believe that these are an important part of learning music. My aim as a teacher is to instill a love for music to my students. Ultimately, I want to help them become independent learners by showing them how to think critically and how to break down any challenge into achievable components.

Have been teaching music (piano, violin, guitar, saxophone, drum, vocal) since 2011. My students range from kids to adults, oldest 60+. Have sent more than 30+ students for ABRSM exam. Students who learn from me will stay with me for more than 5 years or some even 10 years until they graduated from high school and pursue into university. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in management and marketing (UOW). As for music, I only have Grade 8 for Piano and Violin, Grade 7 for Vocal, Grade 7 for Theory, all from ABRSM. As for drum, guitar and saxophone, I have experience in live performing for more than 10 years with concert, conference, event that were up to 1000 people. I'm passionate in teaching and I have experience teaching autism kids too. Hence, I have confident that my patience should not be a problem.

My name is Tammi, 36, I am a professional musician (guitar, vocal, piano, flute, ukulele, percussion, cajon) teaching people of all ages and levels. I was taught theoretically and I learnt by ear later. My approach to teaching now is to learn the opposite way around. I believe scales and theory are important but without a love for your instrument and some instant gratification of what you can produce from your instrument, tirelessly ploughing through theory is not the way.

I believe that my personal experiences as a mom and a farmer taught me the importance of nurturing growth and promoting a safe and nurturing environment.
