A Bit About Me... I am 26, live in a village called Roade in Northamptonshire with my husband and our dog (aka the love of my life!) Dexter, who will no doubt make the odd appearance! I love singing, playing piano, writing music and helping others achieve their goals with all of the above... I have been teaching for 3 years now and wouldn't change it for the world - it is a joy seeing students progress and being part of their music journey. I have been in various productions including Annie The Musical (playing Grace), Bugsy Malone (Playing Tallulah) & Grease (playing Sandy). I have also appeared at various gigs and charity balls and performed for sports stars such as Ian Wright after receiving invitation from the local Mayor who had seen me perform at a previous event invite which was a great honour. I am primarily a saxophonist that has been performing since I was 8 years old. I have performed at Disney world in Orlando, FL and various venues/jazz lounges throughout Chicago. I went to VanderCook College of Music where I received my degree in music ed and got my PEL. I am currently a licensed music educator that teaches in a south suburb of Chicago. I teach 4th through 8th grade marching band, jazz band, and concert band. I teach music notation and arranging to select 8th graders and privately to high schoolers.

I'm not just throwing around a list of instruments—I've dedicated a portion of my life to learning each one. From guitars (both electric and classical) to piano, bass guitar, double bass, and even a dabbling in drums—I've given each instrument its due attention. But, I didn't stop there; I was a singer my whole life and I spent time in a lot of different genres (Operatic singing, Metal screaming, Rock and Pop), I also compose orchestral music, and produce pop tracks too. These skills aren’t just for show—I've dedicated chunks of my life to mastering them, and I've got the experience to prove it! In my teaching style, I mix my love for music with my adventures spanning 25 years in the field. I also studied Composition, Conducting, Voice and Foreign Language Diction (IPA system for Italian, Spanish, French and German). I am a huge supporter of building a well-rounded understanding of music through fun, patience, critical listening, studying music theory and sight-reading in lessons. For my littlest learners, I like to focus on music exploration through various activities to engage their interests and personal learning styles. For my older students, I love to work with their personal goals (e.g., styles they want to learn, pieces they want to play, auditions they are prepping for, etc.). I’ve been passionate about singing since childhood, starting in church and later joining my school choir. In junior college, I became part of a pop show group, and while studying music with a vocal concentration at Prairie View A&M, I sang in the chorale. After graduating, I worked as a session singer around Houston, recording vocals for various artists’ albums. Along the way, I taught in school districts, wrote my own songs, and served as a voice teacher at music schools. Now, I’m excited to offer online voice lessons to help students discover and develop their own unique voices.
