I’m a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and former touring musician with decades of experience leading bands and choirs, and a passion for helping others realize their dreams. I began my career as a professional musician by working as a tenor section leader while studying music composition, conducting, and vocal performance. I also interned at Todd Hobin Studios, where I gained hands-on experience in recording and production. Over the years, I’ve served as section leader for several vocal ensembles, further developing my musical and leadership abilities. After earning my BA in Music, I returned home and stepped into a directorial role, where I continue to lead, perform, and collaborate across a wide range of musical styles.

I hold a Master of Music in Composition from the University of South Carolina School of Music and have over five years of experience teaching private lessons in violin, guitar, voice, music theory, and composition. In addition to my work as a teacher, I’m an active composer and recording artist, though my true passion lies in making music education accessible and meaningful. I’ve been a music educator in public schools for over 20 years and a performer since the age of two. I began singing in my mother’s church as a toddler and gave my first stage performance at West Virginia’s Vandalia Gathering at age five. I started formal voice training at 15, studying with Deborah Lucas and later with Dr. Larry Stickler at Marshall University. Throughout my career, I’ve taught both in schools and private studios, with students ranging from beginners to one who reached the Top 12 on American Idol. I’ve also performed in over 25 musical theatre productions across college and community stages in West Virginia and Ohio. My teaching emphasizes classical vocal technique—breath support and vocal placement—that applies to all genres. I also started piano early, playing "Twinkle Twinkle" by ear at age two. At four, I began formal lessons with Mrs. Sarah Jane Mangus, who encouraged playing by ear while focusing on reading music, theory, and proper technique. I follow her example today, supporting my students’ creativity while building strong technical and theoretical foundations.

I hold a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from California State University, Northridge, and I'm a certified CCM (Contemporary Commercial Music) teacher from Shenandoah Conservatory. Classically trained in both voice and flute, I earned my degree in Instrumental Music from Rahil Conservatory in Tehran and performed with choirs and orchestras before moving to the U.S. My classical and opera training built a strong vocal foundation, while my experience as a rock/metal frontwoman shaped me into a dynamic crossover artist and teacher. Hi, I’m Coach Liza—a dedicated performer and music educator with over 20 years of experience in the industry. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music, majoring in Popular Music with a focus on voice. My journey began at a young age and led me to formal training at the College of Music. My background includes classical vocal training, seven years as a lead vocalist in a cover band, and four years performing in musical theatre. As a vocal and piano coach, I’ve worked with students of all levels, from beginners to advanced, preparing them for exams, live performances, and competitions. I offer structured virtual lessons tailored to each learner’s goals and provide follow-up materials to support progress between sessions.

I pride myself in having 20+ years of experience teaching primarily guitar and saxophone, but also a wide variety of instruments and styles outside of that specialization. My passion for jazz, rock, classical, and folk music presents a diverse pallette of skills and experience. I have been performing as long as I have been teaching. I find it to be an important part of an educator's lifestyle in order to relay meaningful information to their students.

I began my musical journey at age 13 when I was awarded a scholarship to The Purcell School of Music, where I studied clarinet, saxophone, piano, and singing. I later received a scholarship to the Royal College of Music, where I completed my BMus degree. From the age of 18, I have worked as a woodwind coach for the Music Makers summer courses, and over the past 20 years I have taught one-to-one lessons and ensembles at every level—from beginners to Music College students—across a wide range of settings including schools, music services, and private tuition. My students have gone on to study music at university, including at Oxford University, and have gained places at Junior Conservatoires. In addition to my teaching experience, I am a qualified Music Therapist with extensive experience working with children and adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental-health challenges, and social or emotional needs. My teaching approach is centred on building a positive, supportive relationship with each student and fostering a genuine love of music through relaxed, enjoyable, and engaging lessons.

Edita Randová is one of the leading Czech mezzo-sopranos, trained with Milada Musilová and Marta Boháčová, with additional piano studies. She began her career at the Musical Theatre in Karlín and the State Opera in Prague, performing a wide range of national and international repertoire and touring abroad, including Japan and Switzerland. She has performed internationally—including Carnegie Hall, Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Australia—and participated in numerous festivals. She has received major awards, including the Gustav Mahler European Prize (2009) and La Reconnaissance Culturelle Médaille d’Or Internationale (2010), and has sung with leading orchestras under renowned conductors. Her versatile repertoire includes opera, oratorios, cantatas, masses, art songs, and contemporary works. As a teacher, she guides students in vocal technique, musical expression, and performance preparation, helping singers of all levels develop confidence and artistry.
