I am a voice coach and have developed a technique to open & tune-up the voice/body instrument for over 25 years. I am originally from California but teach alot in Europe as well. I am a voice coach, singer/songwriter, author of 2 books relating to my voice technique, yoga teacher and also an artist (painter). I have been teaching online for the past 5 years and have found with my teaching style and technique it is really effective for singers of all styles. I have coached many singers for performance, for both stage and recording. I also help singers heal a damaged voice. I specialize in speaking as well.

Hey, I'm David, and music's been my thing since I was 3. Growing up in music school set me on a path to gather a bunch of musical skills along the way. I'm not just throwing around a list of instruments—I've dedicated a portion of my life to learning each one. From guitars (both electric and classical) to piano, bass guitar, double bass, and even a dabbling in drums—I've given each instrument its due attention. But, I didn't stop there; I was a singer my whole life and I spent time in a lot of different genres (Operatic singing, Metal screaming, Rock and Pop), I also compose orchestral music, and produce pop tracks too. These skills aren’t just for show—I've dedicated chunks of my life to mastering them, and I've got the experience to prove it! In my teaching style, I mix my love for music with my adventures spanning 25 years in the field. Marco William Duranti has been described as “a versatile musician, a classical guitarist who likes to look outside his window”. The gift of composition has led him to seek ideas outside the normal parameters of the classical guitar. His principal aim has always been to create new compositions for the classical guitar, rather than adaptations of music from other instruments or sources. He says “I like to implement and adapt ideas from the outside, mould them and make them a property of the guitar, rather than make the guitar a property of the transcription". At the same time, Duranti turns this idea on its head by taking ideas that come from the guitar and adapting them to other musical contexts. This is frequently his method in composing film scores or rock music. This approach comes from his early learning and family roots: his family were artist-artisans and had, as friends, opera, rock and classical musicians, painters and sculptors. He has an enduring love of 60's and 70's music of various styles, including the most beautiful period of classical music recordings. Duranti says he does not seek originality in music, but believes in the uniqueness of a composition stemming from many factors, including the character and ability of the performer. Duranti’s ideas are underpinned by a solid practical and theoretical education: he describes a “progressive and passionate study of music theory and the guitar” at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto under John Perrone and later in Rome under Mario Gangi. As a schoolboy, he also learned to play the blues from a street musician, giving him another perspective on the guitar. Duranti’s music career has suffered challenges and interruptions which have obliged him to explore new directions. He has made many original recordings, ranging from classical guitar to rock concept albums, and film music. He performed extensively in Italy for many years. Duranti says “this long journey is not over yet - I hope I will be able to produce more works and hopefully leave something worth mentioning!”

I'm a professional singer and performer living and working in Mexico City. In my own vocal practice, I focus on Free Jazz and Improvisation, Classic Jazz vocals, and extended techniques in voice and performance. However, I have several students who have a more pop-oriented approach. I believe the voice is the symptom of the body, and thus should be taught in a holistic manner. There is a lot of emphasis on breath, pelvic and abdominal support of the diaphragm, and freedom to find your own voice and style without judgement.

I've prepared over 60 students for LAMDA drama and musical theatre exams, passing with distinctions, and helped students to achieve first places in countless regional competitions and festivals. If you're looking for a lesson for your child - I'm also a qualified youth worker, and have 5 years of experience coaching, mentoring and supporting children and young people. I'm DBS checked, trained in safeguarding and first aid, and most of all, absolutely love working with young people. Lessons won't have rigid structures, but all of my students do have targets and objectives to work towards, which we will figure out together in your first lesson or two.
