I’ve been on an incredible musical journey, and I’d like to teach you a bit about what I’ve learnt. From teaching dozens of private students per week as a Vocal and Piano Teacher in Johannesburg and prestigious boys school St Stithians, to touring with international artists like The Tenors (Canada) and Babylon Circus (France), I have been blessed with amazing opportunities to hone my skills and showcase my talents. Not only have I performed at a huge range of events and festivals in across the world (including South Africa, Seychelles and the Middle East), but I was also nominated for Rock Album of the Year at the 2009 South African Music Awards as part of the Voodoo Child band, which I founded and directed. Over the years I’ve also gained experience in musical direction, concept development, stage management, event planning, and studio and audio recording — like every musician knows, at some stage in your career you’re going to have to do a bit of everything! Whether I'm playing soul, rock, jazz, or classical; from original music, jazz standards to covers, I am known for bringing a contagious energy and enthusiasm to every performance — something I want to teach you to do. I'm not just throwing around a list of instruments—I've dedicated a portion of my life to learning each one. From guitars (both electric and classical) to piano, bass guitar, double bass, and even a dabbling in drums—I've given each instrument its due attention. But, I didn't stop there; I was a singer my whole life and I spent time in a lot of different genres (Operatic singing, Metal screaming, Rock and Pop), I also compose orchestral music, and produce pop tracks too. These skills aren’t just for show—I've dedicated chunks of my life to mastering them, and I've got the experience to prove it! Hi, my name is Regina Rancourt. I studied Classical Piano Performance at Xavier University located in Cincinnati, OH. I also studied Composition, Conducting, Voice and Foreign Language Diction (IPA system for Italian, Spanish, French and German). I am a huge supporter of building a well-rounded understanding of music through fun, patience, critical listening, studying music theory and sight-reading in lessons. For my littlest learners, I like to focus on music exploration through various activities to engage their interests and personal learning styles. For my older students, I love to work with their personal goals (e.g., styles they want to learn, pieces they want to play, auditions they are prepping for, etc.). Outside of music, I love to study foreign languages, poetry and visual art and how these fields can relate to music.

Training and Expertise: My vocal training comes from some of the best in the industry: Studied with a vocalist from Hopeless Records, with experience performing over 100 shows annually, including iconic venues like Alexandra Palace and Wembley Arena. Trained in group classes with Melissa Cross, creator of The Zen of Screaming, and vocal coach for Slipknot, Daughtry, and Lamb of God. Studied under Charlie Rolfe from As Everything Unfolds, a powerhouse vocalist with experience at Wembley Arena and Wacken Open Air.
