In addition to performing, I’ve also taught music to children through the educational program Band in a Bus.

Alongside my school teaching career, I’ve offered private tuition in flute and piano for over 10 years—particularly during a career break to raise my young children. My musical journey has led me to direct ensembles and choirs, as well as found the Academy of St. Cecilia, where I focus on nurturing both technical skills and a deep love for music in church and community settings. As a teacher, I believe every student learns differently. That’s why I adapt each lesson to individual goals—whether you’re discovering your very first notes, polishing your tone, or preparing for a performance. My approach combines strong technical foundations like breath control, finger technique, and theory with the joy of self-expression and artistry. Teaching reminds me daily why I fell in love with music in the first place: its power to connect, inspire, and transform.
