I am a qualified Music Therapist with master’s degrees in Music Therapy, Music Education, and Music Marketing. My musical journey began as a trumpet major, and over the years I have grown into a versatile multi-instrumentalist. I teach and perform on piano, baritone ukulele, saxophone, guitar, and I am also an active singer and songwriter. I bring a blend of clinical training, teaching experience, and real-world musicianship to every lesson. Whether you are learning for personal enjoyment, therapeutic benefit, or musical growth, I adapt my approach to meet each student’s needs. My goal is to create a supportive, engaging, and creative learning environment where students can build confidence, develop skills, and connect deeply with music.

Hi, my name is Jameson Burton. I am a multi instrumental musician and teaching artist. I pride myself in having 20+ years of experience teaching primarily guitar and saxophone, but also a wide variety of instruments and styles outside of that specialization. My passion for jazz, rock, classical, and folk music presents a diverse pallette of skills and experience. I have been performing as long as I have been teaching. I find it to be an important part of an educator's lifestyle in order to relay meaningful information to their students.

I am the principal Cornet of the World-Famous Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band, and a performing artist with Besson Instruments, and I want to teach YOU to play a brass instrument! Whether you're a total beginner looking to pick up a new hobby, or a musician looking to improve your skills, these tailored one to one lessons will help you achieve your goals. Having graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music with First Class Honours, I have two years online teaching experience, ranging between all ages, background and abilities. In these lessons, we will use a vast range of structured learning objectives to help you reach your aims, after which detailed lesson notes and practice suggestions will be sent to you. Music is all about being able to express yourself, and the atmosphere created in lessons is no exception to this rule, which is why these lessons prioritise a non-judgemental, safe and creative learning environment.
