Adam R. Sweet is a seasoned music educator, violinist, mandolinist, and wedding musician specializing in teaching adult students. With a BA in Musicology and a Master's in Ethnomusicology, he has spent decades refining his approach to helping adults learn and master traditional and roots music. Teaching adults presents both unique challenges and rewards—many come with deeply ingrained habits, yet they bring a level of passion, discipline, and life experience that makes the journey incredibly fulfilling. Adam focuses on intuitive playing, ear training, and confidence-building techniques tailored to each student’s needs. Adam has toured extensively across the U.S. and internationally, performing and teaching music in Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Egypt, South Korea, China, Canada, and throughout the U.S. His career spans multiple genres, including classical, folk, bluegrass, Celtic, and klezmer.

Whether you are thinking of pursuing a career in music or want to learn for hobby, I am here to help! :) I have over 10 years of teaching experience since my gradation at university, teaching from beginners to university entrance levels, children to adults, classical to pop music. While I am an active classical concert violinist I have a fast growing career on commercial music, working as a recording artist and composer for soundtracks in Japan, Singapore, USA, Germany and Australia. So I am also able to provide guidance on making a living with music if you like! :D

I’ve been playing piano since age 9 and added violin and trumpet to my studies at 13. I hold a BA in Classical Trumpet Performance and Music History from Laurentian University, with a minor in Canadian History, and an MA in Musicology and Theory from the University of Ottawa, where I also worked as a teaching assistant in theory and history. My main instrument is trumpet, though I play piano at RCM Level 9 and also teach violin. I’ve performed with ensembles including the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra, Northern Brass Choir, and Nickel City Wind Ensemble. I’ve taught music in schools, studios, and privately, including founding and directing a Sea Cadet Band on Manitoulin Island. Now based in the Sudbury area, I teach privately both in person and online, and recently led music programs at four Greater Sudbury Libraries. I’m committed to continued professional growth and recently completed the Royal Conservatory’s Teaching Intermediate Piano course.

I hold a Master of Music in Composition from the University of South Carolina School of Music and have over five years of experience teaching private lessons in violin, guitar, voice, music theory, and composition. My studio includes students of all ages, from elementary through adult. In addition to my work as a teacher, I’m an active composer and recording artist, though my true passion lies in making music education accessible and meaningful. I believe every student thrives when their individuality is respected and their interests are nurtured. My lessons are learner-focused, interdisciplinary, and designed to be engaging and personalized. Alongside technique, I teach students to read standard notation, tablature, and chord charts, while integrating foundational music theory, aural skills, and improvisation. My goal is to help students understand the music they love and gain the confidence to express themselves creatively. With consistent practice, my students make steady progress and develop both skill and musical insight.

I’m Vincent Limantoro, a multi-instrumentalist from Indonesia. I began music with piano at a young age and now play over 10 instruments, including violin, cello, guitar, saxophone, guzheng, and koto. I hold a Licentiate in Piano and Violin Performance from the Royal Schools of Music and Trinity College London, where I graduated with distinction. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to win prizes at competitions such as the Steinway Youth Piano Competition, Shigeru Kawai Piano Competition, WPTA Finland International Piano Competition, and the String Avenue International Violin Competition. I’ve also performed with ensembles including the G20 Orchestra at Borobudur Temple, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Korean National Symphony Orchestra, and the World Youth Orchestra. In 2024, I toured the UK with TRUST Orchestra, performing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and receiving the Outstanding Young Performer Award at the Asian Arts Awards. Whether performing as a soloist or in ensemble, across classical, jazz, pop, or folk music, I aim to share emotion and artistry that connect deeply with audiences.

Hello, my name is Kiroulos Sidra. I’m a passionate music educator and performer based in Staten Island, New York. Over the past seven years, I’ve had the joy of teaching flute, clarinet, saxophone, piano, guitar, and violin to students of all ages and skill levels. My musical journey has led me to direct ensembles and choirs, as well as found the Academy of St. Cecilia, where I focus on nurturing both technical skills and a deep love for music in church and community settings. As a teacher, I believe every student learns differently. That’s why I adapt each lesson to individual goals—whether you’re discovering your very first notes, polishing your tone, or preparing for a performance. My approach combines strong technical foundations like breath control, finger technique, and theory with the joy of self-expression and artistry. My name is Lara. I’m 25 years old and originally from Melbourne, Australia, and I’m currently based in New York City. I have eight years of experience teaching violin and viola to students from pre-school age through high school, both in person and online. As a teacher, my mission is to nurture each student’s confidence, creativity, and musical growth. I offer violin and viola lessons that are individualized to match every learner’s pace, personality, and goals. Music has always been a big part of my life, shaping not only who I am as a musician but also who I am as a person. Some of my closest friends, most meaningful mentors, and most treasured experiences have come through the musical community. As a result of that, one of my biggest goals as a teacher is to help my students find the same joy, support, and sense of belonging that music has given me. I started playing violin when I was five years old, so I know just how important those first years can be in sparking a love for music. The teachers who guided me when I was young have had a huge lasting impact on me, and I hope to be that kind of mentor for my students. My teaching is all about creating a safe and encouraging space where students can grow, try new things, and feel proud of what they accomplish. Music lessons should be about more than just playing notes—they’re also about building confidence, creativity, and life skills that go far beyond the instrument. I chose to offer my teaching online because it provides both my students and I with greater flexibility and convenience. Whether I am at home or traveling, I can continue working with my students consistently and without interruption. This approach allows me to connect with learners from many different locations while maintaining the highest quality of instruction, no matter where my students and I are based. I believe strongly in teaching each student as the unique individual they are. Everyone learns differently, and my goal is always to meet students where they are and help them succeed in their own way. As someone who is neurodivergent and has been surrounded by neurodivergent family members, I’m especially passionate about making sure all students—whether neurotypical or neurodivergent—feel understood, supported, and set up for success. Most of all, I want my students to truly enjoy music. I work to create lessons that are warm, structured, and encouraging, so students not only see their progress but also build a lifelong love for music. My hope is that each student leaves lessons feeling not only like a better musician, but also more curious, kind, and confident in everything they do.

I have been always dedicated and inspired to teach young generations music performance and the artistry. It has been great 10 years since I started pedagogy and it's practice, inspired by my mother - violin teacher herself- who has encouraged me to continue her mission in teaching violin and viola with a great passion. I have obtained Bachelors, Master degree with distinction, Advanced Dip and prestigious Teaching Certificate issued by the Royal Academy of Music.I share my newest methods with great enthusiasm while helping young violists to achieve their aspirations in music performance. Furthermore, I always aim to introduce the most effective techniques of viola and violin playing by choosing diverse repertoire, discipline of practising, consequently it maximises my students ability to express their musicality. As a teacher I particularly concentrate on the use of the sound of the instrument in it`s full range of colours and the left hand technical brilliance. I teach cello, piano, music theory and composition to any age, for any style of music. I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have over 15 years’ experience teaching both privately and in London schools through institutions such as the Guildhall School of Music. I have prepared many students for ABRSM and Trinity graded exams up to Grade 8+, foundation and undergraduate programmes in cello, piano and music theory. I have also taught beginner violin and GCSE and AS/A Level Music. I am classically trained at Masters level in cello and piano, theory and composition, having studied at the University of Athens and Goldsmiths College, University of London. I have also received external training from ABRSM London Conferences, the Learning Trust, NSPCC and others. Alongside teaching, I am a performer and composer, specialising in experimental, improvisational and collaborative/multi-media projects. I also play traditional Greek, Turkish and Middle Eastern music. My teaching often involves a degree of improvisation and music theory, as well as repertoire, as I believe that these are an important part of learning music. My aim as a teacher is to instill a love for music to my students. Ultimately, I want to help them become independent learners by showing them how to think critically and how to break down any challenge into achievable components.
