Hello, I love teaching music! I have a doctoral degree in music education and I'd love to teach you all levels of piano (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) and beginner Ukulele . I look forward to meeting you and working with you!

I have been teaching privately for seventeen years . I have also taught in schools, both primary and secondary, organising pupils lessons , examinations and concerts. I teach all ages from six to sixty years old. I teach different genres of music . I have been playing music since I was nine years old. My first instrument was the electronic organ. I then started to play the clarinet in the school orchestra and the also sax in the schools concert band. I have played in flute choirs and concert bands since then. I studied a degree in Nottingham . It was a music and performance degree with emphasis on contemporary composition. I am a singer song writer and like to create my own music as I have a recording studio . I am near to releasing my first EP. I have three grade 8 s in piano, clarinet and flute and a grade 5 alto saxophone. I currently teach online and teach recorder, clarinet, alto sax, ukelele and piano. I can also play the guitar. I often use a lot of improvisation in my teaching and I also encourage pupils to write their own music. I am teaching the ABRSM syllabus and Rockschool syllabus.

I have been teaching Piano, music theory and vocals for more than 20 years. I love teaching! I am a classically trained pianist but can teach almost all styles of music. I have a bachelor's degree in Music and a Diploma in Music teaching. My online set up has 2 camera angles: one on the keyboard and the other on myself. I use online/digital accessible music books and resources to make the online teaching process easier for both student and teacher. I have an Australian Working with Children Check Certificate. I am accredited with the Music Teachers Association of Australia. I teach students from 4 years old to Adult. I am a versatile and experienced music educator and performer. Over the course of my musical career I have had the privilege of working in a variety of musical styles and venues, including: The Edinburgh Fringe with 'Saxtet'; The Derngate with Northhampton Symphony Orchestra; The Killerton Festival with The Drifters; Butlins with a variety of acts including Bucks Fizz and Jackie Graham; Sanctuary AG, Chicago as a solo singer/songwriter; and many more. I was a "Search for a Star" national finalist, 2001 and in the same year played Lieutenant Cable in South Pacific at the Embassy Theatre, Skegness. Up until February 2015 I lead many music departments at secondary level teaching GCSE and BTEC Level 2 with considerable success in helping his students to become productive musicians with a love for music. I consider my greatest educational achievement to be the Director of Specialist Music Status at William Lovell CE School. My main instrument is bass, trained at Birmingham Conservatoire, and offers both electric and double bass as a skilled reading player. I am able to accommodate most musical styles. In addition I am an accomplished singer, guitarist and pianist. I have been known to play in pit on percussion as well and can even play the Tuba!

My main focus of teaching is classical piano but I also help to improve pop and rock piano skills of my students. I have vast experience of band & session work, so can teach keyboards and piano in a band situation, as well as teach classical piano, so you get a better all round musical perspective than learning just classical music.

I am a professional piano & keys player working for over 20 years now. I have been teaching for around 15 years now and have taught classical and contemporary music. I have taken students though various exam boards including ABRSM, Trinity & Rock school. I have experience as a composer for film and stage and have written for numerous artists. I have performed in bands as well as musicals, worked in cabaret and performed with comedians. I enjoy teaching and work with the student to build a lesson plan that covers the content they wish to develop and hopefully inspire them to go further.

I have a Bmus Degree from the Royal Holloway University of London, top of my class in Performance. While I was at university I was filming Harry Potter as I was lucky to be cast in 4 of the films and also Thor: The Dark World. I stopped acting full-time to pursue my passion for music. I have had 3 top 30 records at USA radio and been on tour with Westlife in the UK, playing 3 nights at the O2 arena, also performed with James Arthur, LeAnn Rimes, Adam Lambert to name a few. I teach Piano, Singing ( classical, pop, folk, etc) Keyboard, songwriting and music theory. I have been teaching for 12 years, and I love being part of a musical learning journey and changing my teaching approach for each pupil so it works for the way in which they learn best and progress the quickest with the most enjoyment.
