About Me Hi, I’m James — a multi-instrumentalist and experienced music educator with over 7 years of teaching experience. I specialize in guitar, bass, piano, drums, music production, and songwriting. From 2018–2022, I taught music in schools and privately, working with students of all ages and skill levels, both in-person and online. My teaching style is student-centered and practical: I tailor lessons to each student’s goals, whether that’s playing their first song, improving technique, writing original music, or diving into recording and production. I’m also a working songwriter with nearly 50 original tracks under my belt, so I know what it takes to go from practice to performance. I believe music should be both fun and rewarding, and I love helping students gain confidence in their playing while building lifelong skills.

Classical Guitar, Electric Rock Guitar, Acoustic Guitar
Hello, my name is Bogdan, I am professional musician, playing mostly acoustic fingerstyle guitar. My guitar journey lasts already for 13 years. I played my first solo concert when I was 16 and in the same year started teaching. My second passion after music is video production, therefore I have a degree in Multimedia Production, which helped me to promote myself as musician and to found a music club in my hometown Chisinau. I have 6 years of teaching experience, and because I taught myself mostly through learning songs that is what we do with students. I believe that all the techniques and theory concepts can be mastered only when you apply them to real music.

Are you looking for an experienced singing tutor who will be friendly, open and easy to chat to? Look no further! From absolute beginners to experienced performers - I'd be happy to help you improve your technique, prepare for an event or audition, or simply sing for fun. My personal specialities are pop and musical theatre - but I love to sing and teach all genres of music. Experience & Qualifications I've been singing and performing all my life, and studied to become a qualified vocal coach three years ago. As I studied, I took on several one-to-one clients as well as teaching group classes across the area for a range of different singing and theatre schools. I've prepared over 60 students for LAMDA drama and musical theatre exams, passing with distinctions, and helped students to achieve first places in countless regional competitions and festivals. If you're looking for a lesson for your child - I'm also a qualified youth worker, and have 5 years of experience coaching, mentoring and supporting children and young people. I'm DBS checked, trained in safeguarding and first aid, and most of all, absolutely love working with young people. Seeing the confidence of a young person grow through the arts is one of the most amazing things to witness!! Lesson Style Overall, I would say my teaching style is informal but effective. Lessons won't have rigid structures, but all of my students do have targets and objectives to work towards, which we will figure out together in your first lesson or two. Lessons with me will always have freedom - if there's a particular song we didn't plan to cover, but you want to try, or something in your own practice that you've been struggling with, I will always adapt! I love all genres of music and I'm happy to work with you on any song you would like - whether you're preparing for an audition, a show, a competition, working in music, or just want to improve your singing technique as a hobby! As I've grown up with music and performing, I'm really passionate about how important the arts are for our wellbeing - so I'll always make our lessons a safe, welcoming space. There's no judgement here, I'm very beginner friendly. I'm also excited to teach more advanced singers, and will help you to notice small changes you can make which will transform your sound and your vocal health.

Violin, Viola, Cello
Music has always been a big part of my life, shaping not only who I am as a musician but also who I am as a person. Some of my closest friends, most meaningful mentors, and most treasured experiences have come through the musical community. As a result of that, one of my biggest goals as a teacher is to help my students find the same joy, support, and sense of belonging that music has given me. I started playing violin when I was five years old, so I know just how important those first years can be in sparking a love for music. The teachers who guided me when I was young have had a huge lasting impact on me, and I hope to be that kind of mentor for my students. My teaching is all about creating a safe and encouraging space where students can grow, try new things, and feel proud of what they accomplish. Music lessons should be about more than just playing notes—they’re also about building confidence, creativity, and life skills that go far beyond the instrument. I chose to offer my teaching online because it provides both my students and I with greater flexibility and convenience. Whether I am at home or traveling, I can continue working with my students consistently and without interruption. This approach allows me to connect with learners from many different locations while maintaining the highest quality of instruction, no matter where my students and I are based. I believe strongly in teaching each student as the unique individual they are. Everyone learns differently, and my goal is always to meet students where they are and help them succeed in their own way. As someone who is neurodivergent and has been surrounded by neurodivergent family members, I’m especially passionate about making sure all students—whether neurotypical or neurodivergent—feel understood, supported, and set up for success. Most of all, I want my students to truly enjoy music. I work to create lessons that are warm, structured, and encouraging, so students not only see their progress but also build a lifelong love for music. My hope is that each student leaves lessons feeling not only like a better musician, but also more curious, kind, and confident in everything they do.
