I am a British/South African teacher who has taught for 20 years in South Africa, Saudi Arabia and in Dubai as well as online. Whether you are a young first time student or a more experienced player preparing for a licentiate exam, I love to keep classes exciting with a lot of positive feedback and useful tips. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree, Licentiates from UNISA and the ABRSM, am a certified Kindermusik Educator specialising in teaching young students. I have prepared students from ages 6 years for Trinity and ABRSM piano exams as well as GCSE for clarinet. I have performed clarinet, saxophone and piano for many years, both in Southern Africa and Dubai. Having obtained my Bachelor of Music degree cum laude from The University of Pretoria, studying under Herbert Klein and Mario Trinchero, I won the National UNISA DJ Roode Overseas Study Teaching Licentiate competition. This enabled me to study with Janet Hilton and Spencer Pitfield at the Royal College of Music in London. I have performed extensively as a solo musician, in chamber music ensembles and was principal clarinet with the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra for many years. I have performed with the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra, COSA, NAPOP, PACT and the South African National Youth Orchestra. Artists I have performed with include The Corrs, Hugh Masekela, Claire Johnson, Vicky Sampson, Sibongile Khumalo, Julian Lloyd- Webber, Helmut Lotti and many talented South African and Dubai-based musicians. I have worked in orchestras with esteemed conductors such as Rostropovich, Vengerov, Menhuin and Marriner and took pride in performing for Nelson Mandela for his 85th birthday celebrations.

My name is Lucas Vedel, from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I started playing guitar since the age of 11, then I started to explore piano, bass, and most of the stringed instruments. Now I worked in my studio as a sound engineer, producer, and arrangement composer. This opportunity to teach online and transfer my skills to new people around the world sounds great!

Diploma in Music Performance, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore Highlights Won Silver Medal at Singapore Internation Flute Festival 2016. Organized Singapore Children’s Flute Camp & Ensemble in 2017. Organized Singapore Adult’s Flute Ensemble Camp in 2018. Organized Flute Recital in co-operation with Singapore musicians “Minh Trang’s Teachers & Friends Recital” at the Ho Chi Minh Conservatory in 2017. Organized a Fusion music concert night (Jazz with Classical music) in co-operation with Singapore musicians “Friendship & Fusion” at the Ho Chi Minh Conservatory in 2019. Besides Flute, I enjoy Singing and Dance too. And have 2 cute cats named Spot and Brown.

My passion are to learn and develop more of my ability in music - art so that I can help the younger generation discover hidden talents

Bachelor of Arts, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh city I picked up the guitar at the age of 12 and learned various genre of music, especially contemporary music like Jazz, Bkues and Rock. I have been teaching for about 6 years and giving lessons to boyh kids and adults As a music lover, I enjoy listening to good old music like Jazz and Blues; howerver when I was in High school, I listened to a lot of metal bands like Metallica, Megadeth,… I also have a thirst for great cup of coffee or tea while watching people or having good conversations. Another side of myself is that I am a handcraft avid person, especially Origami – the Japanese art of paper folding. Since young age, I have folded a lot of Origami models, which really improves my calmness and patience in the long run. Reading book is one of my hobbies, but not all kind of genre. The only one I’d like to read is adventurous, code-breaking books like works from Dan Brown. Comics like Japanese manga are of course in my “must-read” list.

My favorite composer is J.S Bach, and my favorite violin performer is Itzhak Perlman. Aside from music I also enjoy cooking and watching Netflix

Drums

Conservatory of Ho Chi Minh City I started drumming when i was about 9 years old. Actually this wasn’t my hobby at first. As time goes by, i realized that it was so interesting. I have also been actively engaged in Boy Scouting activities since i was 4. Boy scouting taught me a lot about life, giving me knowledge about everything, gave me a lot of energy to overcome difficulties in life. Through teaching life skills as a team leader, i found a professional path to grow into a teacher. I also teach about life through drums. Besides, i like Kick-boxing, Swimming and Soccer. And i have a cat that is named after me - his name is Minh Chau. He is my little brother

Conservatory of Ho Chi Minh City Member of the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet and Symphony Orchestra and Opera Quan is a music teacher and also a pianist. He has been working since 2010 as a private tutor in English and Piano performance. He has won a Gold Medal in National Pedagogy Competition organized in Hanoi in 2012 and Best Pop Music Band in HCMC in 2016. Quan loves working and learning with children. They inspire and motivate him. In other words, children bring him great love and purity. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and cooking with family and friends. He also loves reading books as well as playing music in social activities. In the near future, Quan intends to develop more in his career as a music teacher and learn other instruments such as violin and drums.
